Al Shamshoon - Treacherous Western Dogs

In what may prove to be the most miffed counter-terrorism move of the current genderless administration, the longest running animated cartoon in history, "The Simpsons," has been introduced to the Arab TV network MBC (see above link).

Instead of attempting to spread the gospel of Homer, Bart and the rest of the Springfield posse exactly as we have come to know it, some brilliant mind decided the best approach to exporting this American classic would be to "Arabize" it.

Instead of "The Simpsons," it's now called "Al Shamshoon." Gone are Bart and Homer - in their place are "Omar" and "Badr." Instead of guzzling beer and gnarling bacon - which are both against the nation of Islam - Omar drinks soda and eats traditional barbequed Egyptian beef sausages.

What the fuck?

What's the biggest sin of all? Homer's donuts have been replaced by a traditional Arab cookie called Kahk. I can see the t-shirts now, "Omar eats Kahk" (say it out loud... and say it aint so...).
